I am constantly generating new ideas about how to make content better. My career, both academically and professionally, has been built in discovering creative ways to capture ideas, materialize them and build mechanisms to evaluate their success. Sometimes that means jotting a few notes or sketches on a piece of paper and other times it means building complete information systems. I started using the web to create interactive experiences when it was just in its infancy. I have continued exploring new technologies and researching new theories to broaden my skills and knowledge. I never claim to know it all, but I love trying to.Thanks to my great experience working in the Educational Informatics team at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. I have been part of multiple system designs, ranging in roles from writer, UI designer, business analyst, and research analyst. In my role at Wolters Kluwer, I discovered the agile methodology, a style of management I have been able to adapt to drive regular day-to-day work, and also manage the big projects with tight deadlines. I am also focused on how the advancements in AI, data analytics, and linked data can be used to mine content, give it meaning, and present it to users in a way that is most helpful to them.In most cases, my career has been there to support content creators and enabling them to create the best content in the most efficient ways. Understanding both the commonalities and the differences in how people work has given me a way to approach working with creative people and designing systems to help them do what they do best. All of these learning experiences have supported my main goal - turning great ideas into great experiences.
