Environmental Air Quality Technician
Current• Coordinating the daily functioning and activity of multiple air quality monitoring stations across a variety of industrial sectors and delivering high quality output to meet relevant industry standards and client expectations with a client and solution focused attitude.• Forming leadership within a small team of technicians involved with the department. • Management of current project costs and budget maintenance for successful ongoing contracts. • Supervision and training of staff, implementing technical development and monitoring techniques adhering to relevant to Australian Standards. • Routine data validation and analysis, verification and reporting of sample results, in depth knowledge of particulates matter monitoring, SO2, NOX, relative humidity, ambient temperature, wind speed/direction, barometric pressure, and other common parameters.• Conducting routine instrument calibrations, fault diagnosis, testing and in house servicing and repairing of the monitoring instruments in a NATA certified laboratory and in the field. Responding to instrument failures with little notice requiring overnight travel.• Maintaining monitoring data capture rates above annual targets by incorporating a reliability and response strategy to suit.• Responding to urgent field maintenance and instrument faults often interstate with little notice.• Maintaining and facilitating quality assurance systems that adhere to NATA standard auditing. Direct involvement with department NATA audits.
