My career has included both hardware design and software.My hardware design has included: analog and digital integrated circuit design, digital logic design, computer design, switching system research and design (telecomm and data-com), photonics switching research.My software experience spans embedded firmware (boot-up, initialization, power-on self-tests, ROM monitor), RTOS design, embedded application design (on RTOS), and UNIX/Linux application software design. Software design areas have included: CAD, protocol processing, device drivers, general embedded, Email, bulletin-board, user account management, calendar, small databases, servers, name-server management.Additional research has included: automated test, computer design and processor microarchitectural design.I have extensive experience in both large and small team research and development environments.And I have extensive experience with large-project and large-teach documentation (including reviews and buy-in across stake-holders).
