Over 40 years experience in Residential Architectural Design including 15 years managing my own architectural design firm and 20 years as Creative Director and Design Manager of two major local home builders.I have worked on most aspects of architectural design for single family and semi-detached housing, with a sprinkling of multi-family. This has ranged from starter product to estate, mostly in the Calgary region. From being the principal of my own design firm to working in senior level positions for large organizations, I have a wide range of work experience and understand implicitly the demands and challenges at every level of design.I have helped mentor many current designers in the industry, and through the years I have helped many builders get their start.I am interested in areas such as architectural CAD and BIM systems, sustainable building, mass customization and I try to keep abreast with the latest design trends.My passion is design, and I feel that as a purchaser of any level of housing product you should expect good design to be baked in."Most people make the mistake of thinking design is what [something] looks like.
