I have practiced primarily in the area of insurance, administrative, regulatory, and business law for over twenty years. My clients have included many of the major insurance writers in the country, as well as small start up companies. During that span of time I have provided advice concerning compliance with state and federal insurance laws and rules, formation and acquisition of companies, product development, residual market issues, rate filings and reinsurance transactions. In addition to helping clients avoid regulatory problems, he also assists clients in resolving disputes through negotiation, court challenges, administrative hearings, and arbitration proceedings. My experience includes life and health issues as well as property and casualty matters.I began my law practice in 1980 with the State Treasurer and Insurance Commissioner’s Office. My practice at the Office included oversight of insurance company regulation and transactions, specialty lines, agent and agency matters, and employment law. I left the Department in 1987 to enter private practice. David is an active member of his community, with a special interest in projects for the local running club, Gulf Winds Track ClubSpecialties: Insurance regulatory and business issues.
