After college I began working at Lutherbrook (Lutheran Child & Family Services of Illinois), as a Youth Care Worker. There I learned how to understand the difficulties that children with emotional/behavioral issues have. I then wanted to get into more case management. I took a position at a nursing facility that focuses on Adults with Mental Illness. There I learned the job duties of a day to day Social Service CaseManager. I eventually went back to Lutherbrook to broaden my options for the future. I took the chance of owning a business. I purchased KaleidoScoops Ice Cream & More in June of 2006, where I owned and operated a seven day a week ice cream store. Due to the economic issues, I was forced to close the store. While owning the store I felt something missing in my life, which was helping people. I then began to work at Camelot Schools where I worked with children with Autism. I then took a position with Dupage County Health Dept. where I worked with young adults in one of the counties Group Home's as a Mental Health Work, Case Manager. I eventually went back to working with children with autism at NIA (formerly camelot). Recently in march of 2015 I was hired at Linden Oaks psychiatric hospital which is an impatient setting helping those with mental illness, SI, HI, SH ideations.
