About David Howell

Over the past 16 years, our forms software has assisted in the creation of over 45M+ real estate forms & agreements..Before this, however, I was just another burned out software engineer.In 2005, I walked away from a lucrative engineering job.It all stem-ed from one thought: Is it worth striving to work at a software company that uses pinball machines, Daytona or a juice bar to motivate staff into working longer and longer hours? I felt the software industry no longer needed to subscribe to a Silicon Valley stereotype to be successful, nor did they need to become gatekeepers to their technology, preventing new startups from making a name for themselves. I decided to start my own software company instead. 100% bootstrapped and profitable from day one. Now a 12-person company, growing year on year. Since that day, I've spent my time building Forms Live into the #1 real estate forms and contracts platform in Australia.My mission is to continue to be an API first company and to nurture startups by encouraging them to use our API to build innovative products.
