Specialized in laboratory planning, design, project management, and construction Coordinate and manage the design and construction of new LEED buildings and renovation projects on the University campus. Extensive planning and design of major capital research and laboratory facilities on campus. Provide regular project updates and status reports to executive staff. Prepare and administer comprehensive project budgets on time, within or under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations. Prepare and deliver effective graphic and electronic presentations for high profile audiences upon which a project’s future is decided.

Diverse experience includes planning, architecture, interiors, and graphic communication with an emphasis on laboratory planning and design. Develop and implement in-house capital project programming and planning strategies. Develop technical and implementation strategies to incorporate environmentally friendly building techniques into capital construction projects using the United States Green Building Council’s LEED Program Develop rapid in-house cost modeling, value management and project scheduling to help determine key components for capital building projects. Develop guidelines, requirements and design criteria that drive the project programming and design implementation. Participate in the selection of consultants and contractors for facility projects: evaluate their pricing and estimates; prepare and administer related contracts; and directly supervise their project activities. Coordinate design and construction efforts between user groups, the operations and maintenance teams, the design team and the construction team. Provide innovative and alternative strategies for projects within Emory Capital Development Process.
