Specifically identifying how they interact with and interpret information when given UK governmental services themed search tasks.To date this research has led to the publication of three conference papers (one short and two full) on the information behaviours of English as a second language users and the impact task difficulty and confidence has on search performance, which can be found on my researchgate profile.I have presented the short paper as a poster at the Conference on Human Information Interaction & Retrieval 2017 in Oslo, where I also took part in the Doctoral Consortium. One full paper was presented as both a poster and talk at the European Conference on Information Retrieval 2017 in Aberdeen. The other was presented as a full presentation at the European Conference on Information Retrieval 2018 in Grenoble.My thesis was submitted in November 2018 and the PhD awarded in June 2019. -

I gave a number of invited talks to key stakeholders and members of the Scottish Library & Information Council (SLIC). As well as at SLIC organised events raising awareness of the study and disseminating findings.I am the first author of the conference paper "An investigation into Scottish teenagers’ information literacy and search skills" which was presented at the Information Behaviour Conference in October 2018. -
