I am an ETL (Ab>Initio) and Teradata developer on a busy Data Team in AIB Bank. I work within the data warehouse on a multi skilled team of developers, data analysts, testers and financial peoplefrom around the word who work closely together in an agile environment to deliver quality data for MI and regulatory reporting.The most recent project involved me working closely with our non technical financial customers turning their business requests into complex processes to produce quality data.I am involved in the design, development, testing and implementation of ETL processes to extract data from various sources and systems internal and external and load data into the data warehouse using Ab>initio ETL tool with Unix. I am also the teams EDW data warehouse developer which requires the development of complex SQL scripts using Teradata and scheduling of batch jobs on IBM Mainframe. The role requires lots of Debugging/Problem Solving on both the technical and business side. I have completed a Bachelors of Engineering (Honours) in Software Engineering at Athlone Institute of Technology in 2015.During my Degree I have learned a lot of important skills that have equipped me to be a successful Software Engineering professional, with a firm and lasting intellectual foundation and a passion for lifelong learning.
