Managing Director of an £80m T/O General Staffing business. Annual EBITDA of £4m delivered in last full year. Total headcount of c200 working from a network of 35 offices through England and Wales. Five years in role of MD after twelve years rising through the business from initial role as Sales Consultant. In the final two years as MD delivered a major change project in business activity, direction and productivity as what was an Industrial Temp. business became a broad sector temp and perm business. Through geographical consolidations, estate and headcount reductions and management team rationalisation cost was both reduced and more efficiently performing as ROI. Net income trended up strongly during the same period as temp margins improved and perm revenues played an increasingly significant part of GP mix.

Driving the growth and profitability of an 11 office Industrial Temp business in the NW of England and the West Midlands. At its height, pre recession, the business delivered over £33m in sales and an operating profit of £1.4m. This was the number one performing business within the group at this time and was recognised as such at the 2007 AGM.

Initially responsible for the growth of the Industrial Temp business in the NW with established offices in Manchester and Chester. Through this period I successfully launched new offices in Bolton, Preston and Liverpool. I also took responsibility for the integration and development of acquisition businesses in Warrington, Northwich, Runcorn, Ashton under Lyne and Oldham.

I began my career with Prime Time Recruitment in Watford as a Sales Consultant but relocated back to the North West a year later. The Manchester office had no staff and 12 temps out working when I arrived. The next full year I delivered a profit of £125k from the £25 loss of the year I arrived. This was the single largest 12 month turnaround in a Prime Time branch at this time and resulted in my award of Branch Manager of the Year at the 2000 AGM. I am also proud to say that two of my four consultants that year hold senior management positions in the industry to this date.
