As a Business Partner, I'm aligned to the Faculty of Business, the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences and the Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, shaping solutions and acting as the voice of the business within IT. I help the business investigate opportunities to exploit technology, for improvement, carry out investigations and scoping studies and leading to the initiation of projects and change activities; I help them understand the capacity and constraints of IT to support their needs and lead them through the governance and project initiation process.

Provided leadership for the new Solution Delivery team during the transition phase of the reformed Technology and Information Services (TIS) directorate.The team is responsible for the development and implementation of a broad portfolio of IS and IT solutions for the University and consists of technical project managers, business analysts and developers. All of these roles were designed around the SFIA framework.

Leadership and management of the Information Systems Department (within the Information and Learning Services Directorate) ensuring that the strategy, plans and services delivered by the Department are appropriately aligned to meet the University's strategic and operational needs.The scope of activity for Information Systems was as follows:Finance and Resources - including Finance, HR/Payroll, Estates/Space, Timetabling, eCommerce and Commercial Conferencing Student Applications - including Student Enrolments, Assessments, Billing, Admissions, Enquires, On Line Enrolment (along with related on line administrative services for students) Small Systems - providing bespoke solutions meeting a variety of requirements eg. coursework receipting, disability assist, placement management, research student tracking Web services - providing external website, staff and student intranet and teaching and learning systems (Tulip)Information Systems also provided day to day management of development staff on behalf of the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry.
