Hello! I am a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. Throughout my studies, I took relevant classes such as Genetics, Biochemistry, and Organic Chemistry, and I gained hands-on experience in research methods, 1H NMR Spectroscopy, gene sequencing with HHpred, and image analysis with FIJI/Image J and MINITAB.During my time at the University of Pittsburgh, I had the opportunity to work in several labs, including the Viral Genomes Laboratory and the Ecology Laboratory, where I gained experience in bioinformatics, genome annotation, and fieldwork. In addition, I had the chance to share my knowledge as a Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry II and present a personal review paper to first-year biology students.Outside of the academic realm, I have experience in park management, where I interacted with park visitors and managed private events. I also served as a primary point of contact for remediation of disruptive behavior in the park, engaging with disenfranchised individuals in a manner that achieved de-escalation without physical altercation or police services.Previously, I worked in retail service operations and as a Dog Daycare Associate at PetSmart. Through these experiences, I honed my communication skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.Overall, I am a dedicated and motivated individual with a passion for biological sciences and a desire to continue learning and growing in the field.
