Key Achievements: • Formed the Hollard Agency Partners business • Grew the team from 5 FTE to 30 FTE over two years• Delivered and exceeded financial targets year on year • Led a project which secured Hollard’s New Zealand insurance licence• Played a key role during Hollard’s expansion into the New Zealand market • Successfully launched a business in New Zealand in 2016, which grew from initially $0 to $250M in five years• Onboarded multiple new partners, contributing to strong business growth over the last three years

David is appointed as an independent adviser to the Audit and Risk committee, providing valuable assistance in the development of Board reporting metrics and insight in the adequacy of the risk management frameworks. David has also led sessions with Board and management in the identification of emerging risks and change in contemporary risk management practises.

Based in Sydney, I led the Pacific Dispute Advisory Practice of Marsh Forensic Accounting and Claim Services (FACS).• Asia Pacific leadership role in the Dispute Advisory services division of Marsh Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) with overall responsibility for developing the practise and all service offerings• Responsibility for marketing the Dispute Advisory practise across the region working with Marsh’s internal marketing team• Responsibility for the development of additional “forensic accounting” services in the group (including fraud prevention and investigation services)• Internal and external marketing of the services of the Marsh FACS team• Establish credibility with the Senior Executive team to ensure support for the ongoing development of the Marsh FACS team.• Appointed Expert Witness on several matters and engaged as a consultant on several fraud and other investigations.

Starting in Audit, I worked in both the UK and Australia with clients specifically in the Wealth Management, Superannuation and Insurance industries.• Lead Client Service Director (LCSD) for ANZ Bank with responsibility for coordinating provision of services to the bank from all service lines• Significant financial accounting experience across various industries leading audit and other review work• Managing teams to perform detailed financial analysis, prepare financial models and develop financial forecasts and valuations• Leadership role in the national Financial Crime practise (service line within forensic). Advising clients on AML compliance, Economic and Trade Sanctions, and fraud risk management• Direct responsibility for the management and development of 5 members of staff and shared responsibility for a wider team of 15 more junior staff members in the financial crime group• Strategic responsibility for the direction, client targeting and development of the financial crime team specifically, and the forensic team more generally, in the Australian market• Director role in the investigation into events surrounding the collapse of Opes Prime Stockbroking• Director role on “Project Maxwell” – very high profile investigation into a major Australian corporate failure• Preparation of expert reports with specific focus on the use of financial models and statistical forecasting for quantification of damages, valuations etc. • Consulting with legal teams in a role as “dirty expert” or partisan adviser• Interviewing witnesses and drafting statements based on interviews• Maintaining strong client relationships to ensure repeat business.
