COURSE HIGHLIGHTS:➢ Web Development (HTML5 with Javascript) – coursework included multi-page website development incorporating a variety of control elements as well as external styling (CSS3) and an emphasis on proper HTML5 page validation.➢ SQL (Microsoft SQL Server 2012) – coursework included database design, table creation (insert / alter / delete), and queries (joins / unions / sub-queries).➢ XML (with CSS, XSL and XSD) – coursework focused on creating well-formed and valid XML documents along with their accompanying styling (CSS and XSL), targeting correct rendering in a web browser.➢ Visual Basic (.NET) – coursework included GUI-based Visual Basic development with projects that allowed users to interact with Access database tables via a standalone GUI (Windows Forms Application) as well as a webpage-based GUI (ASP.NET).➢ C# (.NET) – coursework included GUI-based C# development involving event-driven procedures and independent sub-procedures. Final project featured a GUI that allowed users to view and update a database table using the GUI’s controls.➢ Database Design (Microsoft Access) – coursework focused on database theory, design, and practical application. Final project involved a multi-table relational database along with supporting forms, queries, and reports.

Senior Software Engineer – Web Applications and 3G / CDMA Contributing designer for Ericsson’s 3G / CDMA product. Member of innovation team focused on development of internal collaboration applications. Applied Agile methodology to design process, interacting with design team, Scrum Master, product owner, and internal end-users.ACCOMPLISHMENTS:➢ Chosen to join a select innovation team within the larger organization that focused on development of web applications, resulting in improved collaboration among internal teams.➢ Designed and implemented an automated solution for Framemaker to PDF conversion after Nortel acquisition. This allowed continued access to the library of product feature documentation.➢ Developed a Sharepoint-based script versioning web application for the internal Emergency Support team, allowing them to coordinate the analytical / diagnostic scripts run on customer equipment. This resulted in improved troubleshooting of customer issues and diagnosing problems. Created training materials for users and developers of the application.➢ Developed a web browser based team collaboration application allowing multiple users to interact and share live telnet sessions in real-time. Overhauled the entire look and feel of the user interface for the application to be easier to use and more visually appealing. Created engaging presentation materials for promotion of the web application during periodic internal customer engagement and internal tech day trade show.➢ Represented a 12-person design team for Sprint customer demo. Selected as spokesperson based on strong communication skills and previous successful customer engagements. Customer was impressed with the robust solution.

Software Engineer – 3G / CDMA Contributing designer for Nortel’s 3G / CDMA product. Developed real-time embedded software programs for the 3G / CDMA mobile switching platform using Waterfall design methodology. Involved in the full software lifecycle from design and implementation through documentation, test, and integration.ACCOMPLISHMENTS:➢ Recognized with a management award for developing a solution to our product’s ongoing issues involving load versioning, despite obstacles and lack of support from base framework team.➢ Led team of 3 designers for annual product release to on-time completion of the feature.➢ Managed and owned software modules and approved design reviews and code inspections which enhanced product functionality and quality.
