I have written multiple episodes of BBC Bitesize, short animations for CITV (including Share a Story), scripts for multiple actuality/documentary-style programmes, and a vast array of shorts, promos, and contunuity. As well as my speed and turn of phrase, I am very good at getting to the heart of a new project fast, and can adapt to the rhythm and tone in very short order.I have worked as a producer or assistant producer on a number of programmes and shorts, from BBC Bitesize to Share a Story and its related documentary/behind-the-scenes content, as well as a huge raft of continuity and online content for CITV. I have written, produced, and edited promos, trailers, short-form videos, and online/social media videos for a large variety of clients, including ITV, the BBC, Sony, and several indies. I am a very fast and efficient editor, often relied upon to turn around promos and other projects at very short notice. I also have a very good understanding of what works as a social video, and how to adapt campaigns for different media. I have worked on programmes for clients such as ITV and the BBC, and edited short-form videos for independents. I also edit all my own promos, trailers, etc. I am equally comfortable with Avid or Premiere Pro.I have lead teams such as on the BBC Share Your Story tour, and as the creative lead on multiple CITV shoots and campaigns. Assistant Producer for BBC Education's BBC Bitesize/Share Your Story schools tour.I lead a team of researchers visiting schools across the country, staging presentations as part of a huge nationwide tour to celebrate BBC's 100th anniversary. This involved writing scripts for the event presenters; liaising with the schools; briefing celebrity guests, businesspeople, and other BBC staff willing to share their personal stories; and being general point-of-contact on location.I ensured compliance with BBC guidelines and adherence to safeguarding rules, especially during visits to schools. I was responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the live panels, from technical aspects to timescales and answering any questions that arise.As the team leader I was responsible for ensuring the well-being of my team on location.

I worked at an assistant producer and writer for BBC Bitesize, overseeing both daily continuity broadcasts and then episodes of Bitesize.This involved liaising closely with educational correspondents to produce scripts with a sound factual basis; in this capacity I wrote many episodes of the Bitesize series. This also required researching ideas on a given topic, as well as sourcing stock imagery and developing games or activities for the presenters.I also performed AP duties in studio, present for the filming of multiple episodes. I was the producer & script editor of multiple-BAFTA-winning Share a Story feature; I script edited & adapted winning competition stories into animation scripts, and directed the voiceover recording.I produced the Share a Story promotional campaign: developing and creating original promos and other bespoke material for channel and online. These included How-To Guides, behind-the-scenes coverage, and interviews with authors and celebrities such as Michael Rosen, Francesca Simon, and Peter Andre. I wrote, directed, and produced several documentary programmes about Share a Story, with behind-the-scenes content, new animation, and exclusive interviews. These were the first billed programmes produced by CITV's presentation department in Manchester.I produced several news features for on-air and online, covering launches of CITV shows including new Thunderbirds and Matt Hatter, with premiere events at the BFI and West End cinemas; as well as behind-the-scenes of Share a Story and Mr Bean.I also wrote, produced, and developed an original fact-based animation strand "Who Got Stuck In".As a promo producer, I created on-air promotions to market CITV’s programmes (see Jr Promo Producer description for more information).
