As part of the Major Programmes leadership team I built and lead the Cross Industry Operating Unit and was the People and Purpose Lead for the team of 40 plus people. I also build and led the Digital Catalyst Craft and was a lead member of the Programme Aerodynamics Steering Group and a key member of the Certified To training and the Green House facility.In addition to client delivery in the UK and I collaborated closely with the Middle East firm working with Neom.

I have set up Saltire Mountain as a niche professional services firm offering programme leadership and technology advisory services with a special focus on infrastructure and capital projects. Big things that make a big difference. This builds on my experience with Deloitte working with some of the UK’s most challenging programmes including: project controls transformations at Crossrail, Tideway Tunnel, BAE Systems and Rolls Royce as well as work with the MoD, Network Rail, TfL and HS2.

I led the Deloitte UK technology and analytics business for our Infrastructure and Capital Projects team. This involved working with some of the UK’s most challenging programmes including: project controls transformations at Crossrail, Tideway Tunnel and BAE Systems Submarines as well as work with the MoD, Network Rail, TfL and HS2.

Based on the success at Fulcrum, I was asked back to join Edenbrook, primarily to win and successfully deliver international programmes for GE Commercial Finance. This was the first major client for the Enterprise Applications practice and provided the platform for further growth. Reporting directly to the relevant board director, I continued to provide energy and drive in building the EA practice, from an almost standing start, to what was one of the most respected Oracle Applications businesses in the UK. I collaborated with the BI practice on a number of successful BI Strategy assignments in the Financial Sector and became the Client Partner for strategic Financial Services clients across all Edenbrook practices. I created Belgrave to provide consulting services to major Oracle Applications clients in Europe.Clients: Honeywell, Motorola, Merrill Lynch

I joined Fulcrum as the business leader to setup and run the office for Scotland. I was head of the Scottish business unit and was responsible for developing the business in Scotland. This included the setting up of a new office, the recruitment, retention and training of all staff, along with target and budget responsibility. In addition David sat on the Fulcrum UK management board. Scotland went from zero to 20 heads and achieved over £1m of revenue in its first year – almost all of it with Oracle Applications clients. Fulcrum was acquired by Whittman-Hart which in turn merged with US Web to create March First.

I was the account manager for Xerox in Europe and supported complex international sales within the EMEA Applications Sales organisation.

As a freelance consultant I provided project management expertise for Alcoa in The Netherlands Shared Service Centre and project management and consulting skills for GE Capital – Avis Fleet Services - across Europe. I was promoted to Principal Consultant in Edinburgh. Having completed over a year in the UK he spent a year in Asia based out of Hong Kong, and a year based from Brussels working on the DHL project. I worked in a General Practice Department of the Edinburgh office dealing mainly with large clients in the financial services sector. This involved in-depth systems evaluation, writing reports with recommendations and the execution of large complex projects. After qualification I was seconded to a major client to project manage Treasury and Financial systems implementations.
