I've worked on an incredibly wide range of projects over the last few years, mainly centering around managing and analyzing large amounts of data. I began on the clinical side, handling all aspects of data collection and entry. During this time, I developed simple tools and procedures for automating rote steps and quality-checking my work. These allowed me to achieve an unprecedented success rate for the study, and facilitated my promotion to Systems Analyst.In that role, I wore countless hats, collaborating with multiple other labs and teams to tackle whatever project they had at hand. But I was primarily responsible for overhauling the methods by which our lab collected and integrated data from other labs. I designed and implemented a robust, semi-automated system for tracking, standardizing, quality checking, and integrating fMRI data from many disparate sources into a central database. This simplified the demands on staff, and improved our ability to identify and troubleshoot issues as quickly as possible.
