My original goal was to become a lawyer. This was a dream beginning in high school. However, I wrote a thesis using quantitative analysis techniques while enrolled in the pre-law honors program as an undergraduate and one of my professors commented that the quality was so high it could be published in a scholarly journal. She then introduced me to the head of the statistics department, and he convinced me to pursue an advanced degree in statistics to refine my skills. Since I already had a minor in business, I decided to focus my research on business applications.This launched a career in business analytics, and I never looked back on my legal career aspirations. I also continued my education eventually obtaining a Ph.D. in Applied Statistics and an MBA with a concentration in International Business. I also have a post-graduate qualification from Columbia University in NYC. In terms of my professional career, I most recently worked at one of the largest US global health services companies Cigna/Evernorth, as their Enterprise Marketing and Digital Analytics Leader. This position which comprised of both international and domestic assignments taught me how to evaluate and optimize marketing investments and how to use analytics to undergo a digital transformation.Before this, I worked for General Electric Company and held various quantitative analysis roles across various GE business units and several functions including risk management and marketing both internationally and in the US. My time at GE taught me how to utilize analytics across an entire business Enterprise.In addition to working for and leading large analytics teams at these huge companies I have also started a highly successful boutique management consulting firm known as Global Decision Science Enterprises and an innovative AI startup firm known as SEB Maxico AI. All of this great analytics experience culminated in me being bestowed the prestigious AI100 industry award as one of the world’s top 100 individuals who have made groundbreaking contributions to the field of AI and Analytics, creating new possibilities for businesses, governments, and societies. I am also a best-selling author, a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma Quality, and I have 10 patents/patents pending and over 50 peer-reviewed publications. I consider myself a true scholar practitioner with prestigious adjunct professorship appointments in the field of business analytics and research interests focused on the application of global analytics to improve healthcare and business performance.
