Many fulfilling years serving a multi-state, senior living organization have driven me to enhance the everyday experience of our resident clients and the employees with whom I come in contact. I have a 29+ year record of accounting acumen, financial operations and accountability thereof, process improvement and change management while fostering effective employee teams. I’ve always considered myself someone who strived to go beyond the rudimentary, yet important, tasks in finance and accounting. I can be relied upon to deliver timely information, which has been thoroughly researched and accurate. Whether I am tasked with finding that missing dollar from several years past in the GL or researching new regulations, I strive to have the correct answer at hand.I’ve had an opportunity to serve my customers in several roles where I implemented new procedures that were both innovative yet easier to execute. I developed many new levels of internal reporting, that improved clarity, accessibility and accountability. I’ve improved the speed and accuracy of our billing systems while reducing its redundancy. I believe in quality over quantity. By innovating new reporting and procedures I found that it can lead to better understanding, transparency, and better trust. While there are many aspects of being an effective leader, it’s also important to be an ever-present Coach. I developed a passion for training, which I think is one of the best ways to raise the level of enjoyment and effectiveness in the workplace. I always look for training moments each workday, while conveying “The Why” of each opportunity to remove the fear of change and help people see their value to the organization.I have helped deliver higher resident satisfaction in the key areas of Finance, Dining, campus interior design, and many other areas of a senior living community. My most rewarding experiences involved the ability to gain resident consensus and affirmation in the face of difficult situations in the community.My specialties include MS Excel, Software implementation (including testing, data transfer, implementation, and user training), General Ledger, Budgeting and Projections, Procurement, Senior Living management, Customer Service Initiatives and Culture Transformations, and new Business Initiatives.I would love to hear from you if you feel your organization might benefit from having me on your team.
