As an experienced Pension Scheme Chairman and also a former Group Finance Director I’m able to assist either Trustee Boards or Company Executives to produce pragmatic business solutions to pension problems. In particular:I have extensive experience of managing actuarial valuations and investment reviews and so, either as an Independent Trustee or an External Adviser, I am able to assist Trustee Boards to govern their pension schemes in a pragmatic, business-like manner;I have extensive experience of methods which can reduce scheme deficits, improve the quality of investment returns and mitigate Pension Protection Fund (PPF) Levies, and so I am able to assist Company Executives in preventing the pension scheme becoming an unwelcome drain on the Company’s cash and profits or a major risk to the Company’s balance sheet.
