Corporate executive responsible for marketing activities in the company. The position reports to the chief executive officer. Leads sales management, product development, distribution channel management, marketing communications, and customer service. Day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to:Analytical tasks, such as pricing and market researchCreative tasks, such as designing advertising & promotionsInterpersonal tasks, such as coordinating many different style of thinking in a single teamQuickly reacts to changing circumstances in the firm, and shapes the company's understanding of a particular product, sales strategy, or marketing idea. Each of these products comes from a different department, and is a nexus of information: it is a highly receptive role, with involvement in departments such as, but not limited to, production, information technology, corporate communications, documentation, public affairs, legal, human resources, and finance.Is also the Chief Influence Officer of the firm. He brings the company together as one voice.Ultimately, he is responsible for facilitating growth, sales and marketing strategy. He must work towards objectives such as revenue generation, cost reduction, or risk mitigation.
