Contract Industrial Designer Role

This role was a Product Designer and my responsibilities included, but we're not limited to: - Meeting clients or colleagues to discuss the design briefworking closely with engineers, model makers, sales and marketing staff and other skilled people- Understanding technology, production methods and materials (such as textiles, metals and plastics)- Working within budgets- Working to deadlines- Researching similar products and developing ideas- Making sketches of ideas by hand or computer, and developing the most effective ideas into detailed drawings using specialist computer software (AutoCAD & Solidworks)- Ordering samples or working models of designs- Producing reports and presenting their ideas to colleagues and clients at various stages of the design process- Modifying their ideas according to the feedback they receive at these sessions- Overseeing the testing of the chosen design- Making presentations to potential clients.

This role was a 3D CAD Designer and my responsibilities included, but we're not limited to: - Working closely with different Sales teams to produce creative proposal layouts for office furniture and commercial space interior designs- Creating detailed drafts, drawings and 3D visualisations of the office workstations in early and final stages of the design using AutoCAD and 3ds Max- Preparing detailed presentations for the factory manufacturing using AutoCAD- Preparing documentation and offers for tender proposals using InDesign, AcrobatX

This role was a Graduate Security Consultant and my responsibilities included, but we're not limited to: - Providing advice and security services to identify actual and potential risks to various business operations.- Participate in the development and implementation of security technology for both Government and Non-Government projects. - Undertaking analysis of relevant data and statistics to identify criminal trends, patterns and threats to contracted projects.- Responsible for the maintenance and system administration of the SKM Security standard operating procedures manual directed towards the departments needs.- Provided Security Risk Services to numerous types of businesses including the following:- Security Risk Assessment- Security Compliance Auditing- Gap and Treatment Planning- Strategic Security Advice- Conducted on-site security risk assessments for new and existing projects, as well as providing support for the production of to-scale security systems schematic diagrams (e.g. Access Control, Locking and CCTV cameras) utilising Auto CAD software application.- My other responsibilities included the following:- Filing (Electronic and Paper)- Meeting Minutes- Organising Product Demonstrations- Delivering of Secure Documents and Tender responses- Research of Security Technology

This role was a Risk Assessment Officer and my responsibilities included: - Providing advice and services to identify actual and potential risks to Post business operations, and drafts policies, strategies and processes to maintain the integrity of the mail and protect Post staff and other assets.- Participate in the development and implementation of systems and processes to ensure the collection, collation, evaluation and analysis of the organisations intelligence and information on a national and state basis. - Undertake analysis of relevant data to identify criminal trends, patterns and threats to Post's assets and operations.- Recommend and develop statistical reporting methods and approaches to provide high level information tailored to senior management needs.- Assist in the maintenance and system administration of the Security Operations System (SOS) directed towards user needs and the completeness and quality of information.- Provide the interface with Post’s Customer Management System (CMS) in order to assist with the identification of potential vulnerability’s to the integrity of the mail.- Prepare reports for State CSG units relating to high-risk mail paths and complaint information- On-site and plan review of security requirements for new and existing Postal sites including the production of to scale floor plans and security hardware (e.g. Alarms, Locks and CCTV cameras) using Auto Cad software application- Analytical Data Mining; using CoMops and CMS Diver software to provide management reports.
