A native of Louisville, Kentucky, David has over 30 years of musical performance experience. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville where he earned a Master’s in Music and holds a Bachelor’s in Music from Furman University. He is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Music Fraternity. At the age of 5 years old, he began playing piano and has been playing electric bass and guitar since the age of 10. He currently is a chief musician at Park Place Church, where he performs weekly, teaches master classes in music, and serves as an audio engineer. Throughout his career, he has performed with a wide variety of musicians in diverse musical styles, including rock, jazz, classical, Christian contemporary, Middle-Eastern pop, and Latin music. He has also studied and performed with some extremely accomplished musicians, including Ian Bracchitta, Matt Olson, Steve Watson, Craig Wagner, Tom Ewing, Land of Color, Jay Bocook and Hussam Al-Aydi. He has been instructing students in guitar and bass for 15 years, teaching fundamental and advanced technique, music theory, improvisation, sight reading, history, proper care for the instrument, and functional performance in a variety of styles.
