My academic career has had a focus on the medical sciences over the course of about 6 years. I started on a pathway to nursing, all the while working on some pet projects in amateur management. I started as just a favour to a friend, working on some designs and thinking up some designs and mechanics for a game project. As I was doing that I finished my associate's in sciences of nursing, working for a brief period I realized this line of work wasn't really suited to my own lifestyle. I also found another aspect of the work that sparked an interest, the interest in the backend and process side of healthcare. I decided to go into the Health Informatics and Health Information program while continuing my work in video game project coordination at our little indie group. After finishing my Bachelor's in Health informatics and Health Information Management I plan to continue my interests in project coordination and process improvement throughout the healthcare field and beyond. I believe that my experience in a broad range of fields is a strength that I bring with me where ever I go, and I hope to be able to utilize this to better any position I find myself in.
