About David Goodman

I am a mission-driven CIO with extensive experience in a wide variety of organizations. My style is highly collaborative - I prefer to solve problems as a team in order to leverage the broadest range of expertise. This approach consistently achieves better outcomes. It all starts with the right people. I have built highly functional IT departments, nurtured and developed talent, and restructured when necessary. I understand how to motivate technical people, and how to get the best out of them, while allowing them to maintain a healthy work-life balance. In my effort to maximize professional challenges and personal satisfaction, I have chosen to work with nonprofits - a sector that could be transformed by an improved use of technology. Given the preciousness of donor dollars, it's even more critical for nonprofits to use that funding wisely. Technology has the capability to stretch those dollars, and nonprofits are realizing the impact that strategic IT can have. I understand the unique challenges, and I can effectively manage the complexities.I have expertise in: * Program and Portfolio Management * IT Strategy Development and Business Alignment * Enterprise Software Implementation & Integration * Vendor Management * Team BuildingI have a keen ability to communicate complex technical issues in simple language, working with staff at all levels. I have managed complex budgets, and have developed new and creative funding strategies. I am a passionate and energetic leader that is motivated by making an impact.
