Discussed HB2 and the effects of HB2 on everyday North Carolinians with hundreds of individuals.•Built community by leading volunteers and recruitment of volunteers by phone and during in-person events.•Trained volunteers and interns on effective door-to-door canvassing, petitioning, and tabling techniques. •Extensive research on over 40 universities for the purposes of increasing student voter turnout, outreach to student voters for the June 7, 2016 NC Primary, and researched potential events for voter registration drives

•Canvased on a variety of issues related to voting rights, registered students to vote, aided in recruiting volunteers for campus campaigns, posted flyers relating to voting rights issues, and advertised events on social media. •As a team, encouraged 22.6% of NC State’s student population to vote through over 7,500 face to face interactions on campus, and pledged over 1,455 NC State students to vote in the March 2016 primary.•As a team, worked to successfully return an Early Voting Site to NC State’s campus for the 2016 general election.
