Wrote a Python script that downloads and cleans building permit data from the Chicago open data portal, flags invalid and incomplete permit entries, and prepares Excel Workbooks of reformatted permit data for upload to the CCAO’s internal system of record, resulting in a time-saving automated monthly process.Conducted quality control checks in R on newly collected data for condominiums in the North and South regions of Cook County, identified both one-off and systematic data issues, and produced a report and Excel Workbook of problematic cases to guide data correction.Identified the most impactful of the newly collected features using SHAP values from the condominium valuation model to inform upcoming data collection efforts for the city of Chicago.
