I joined Ampleo to participate in their fractional CTO offering launch, and I provide strategic technology leadership to enhance scalability and efficiency.

I joined Collexin to fill the CTO role, lead the software development effort to build an MVP and assist with fundraising.

I launched Elevate Consulting after experiencing the need for technical leadership support within post-MVP ventures. This support comes from CTO/VPE coaching, mentoring, and fractional CTO roles.

As a fractional CTO, I joined Active Oversight and addressed engineering processes, quality issues, and urgency. These were resolved, enabling the team to develop proper product management methodologies. With a small team, we also migrated the legacy mobile app to React Native and added async capabilities.

After Medsphere acquired Marketware, I continued to manage the Engineering, Product, and BI teams within our division. I worked closely with Medsphere leadership and IT to consolidate redundant services and business practices. I led our teams to develop and migrate our legacy PRM and Analytics products into our newer, state-of-the-art product suite. I recruited additional team members. I contributed to Medsphere's SOC 2 Type 1 & 2 certification.

At Marketware, I managed the engineering, product, and BI teams and reported to the CEO. During this time, I re-established product management methodologies, reduced costs, consolidated teams, handled compliance requirements, analyzed and resolved weaknesses within our BI architecture, transitioned to a more efficient offshore team, recruited a product manager, established a highly visible product roadmap, met with and reported to our board, met with investors, and other interested parties, and consistently delivered new product features on time. Despite the adverse conditions imposed by COVID-19, Marketware performed well in a sector negatively impacted by the pandemic. This led to our acquisition by Medsphere in early 2021.

GearLaunch is a prominent end-to-end B2B2C e-commerce platform that empowers merchants to offer on-demand products. Reporting to the CEO, I was responsible for developing and supporting our print-on-demand platform, managing the engineering team, and administering our Google Cloud Platform.Following the trend of many Bay Area software companies, GearLaunch made the difficult decision to relocate its on-shore engineering team to Salt Lake City. After joining early in 2019, I successfully facilitated the team's relocation to SLC by the end of Q1. In addition, I oversaw the management of the engineering and data sciences teams, spanning four locations.I am particularly passionate about recruiting, and I take pride in having established a world-class team in SLC while simultaneously reducing engineering costs and merging 2 offshore teams into 1. By addressing the obstacles that had previously hindered the offshore teams’ full potential, we were able to refocus on a sustainable development approach, resulting in a record number of product features delivered in Q2.Collaborating with my counterparts on the executive team, I played a pivotal role in reshaping the company's business practices by prioritizing a few high-value objectives over attempting to do everything. Additionally, my trip to Vietnam saw me successfully persuade the leading B2B2C seller to transition from a competitor’s platform, which secured negotiations for new product features.This experience further underlined the effectiveness of my strategies in boosting productivity, accountability, and predictability.

I joined Acuitus Ag in 2018 to manage an existing offshore team and build a team in Utah. Under stringent budget goals, I hired two full-stack software engineers and a data scientist. We extracted and ported our vendor-locked IoT platform to an open-source alternative. We also migrated from AWS to Google Cloud and built Kubernetes production and development environments in time for the 2018 harvest. We did all of this while completing product improvements in time for harvest. Also, during the same timeframe, I supported efforts to raise venture capital and partner with Rev Road.

I joined Nav as the founding CTO. I developed our initial product, which integrated with Experian to access personal and business credit reports. This integration also met Experian’s comprehensive compliance requirements in less than four months. Later, I developed bureau integrations with TransUnion, D and B, and Fico.I recruited and built a team of over 30 web, mobile, BI, and QA engineers who created Nav’s unique product. In 2020, this product attracted over 270,000 customers, generated a $6M run rate, and enabled Nav to raise almost $60M in 3 investment rounds in less than five years.My skills include recruiting top-tier talent and building high-quality architectures, infrastructures, and processes.
