David J. Thibodeau is a Partner at VLP and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. His work involves development of patent portfolios, strategic advice concerning competitive IP rights, and due diligence for technology-based financial, merger/acquisition and other business transactions. David most often handles prosecution matters before the United States’ and foreign patent offices, but he has also successfully concluded litigation and other disputed matters. He regularly works with company founders, investors, engineers and scientists in areas such as cloud computing, network security, storage systems, artificial intelligence, medical devices, semiconductors, optics, signal processing, wireless communications, and antennas.A past President of the 1000-member Boston Patent Law Association, David is repeatedly recognized by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America for the area of patent law.
