IPcomms is a new business setup by myself, offering Small Businesses Unified Communication solutions that were once used only by the larger enterprises. Working with some of NZ VoIP service providers, and using Cisco UC technology we can help the client to be more efficient and to save money on call costs.

Responsibilities:• Managed large design and implementation/installation projects, including VoIP solutions. • Management and support of a team of engineers, including training of new engineers• Provided support in development of new products• Provided technical support for major Alcatel dealers in the UKAchievements• First engineer at ACT to become an Alcatel Certified Systems Expert. This enabled ACT to Achieve Premium Partner Status which led to them winning bigger contracts.• Carried out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Inspection off-site for the UK division of a global natural resource company. As a result of my contribution I secured the contract for ACT to install a new Alcatel PABX system for 500+ users across two sites in Algeria.Lead the design and successful implementation of Alcatel solutions for a large oil company based in Algeria. Grow the project from 2000 users to over 4500 users and provide new solutions that incorporated their existing IP network to utilize VoIP. Provided technical support to 18 connected sites on an ongoing basis• Helped companies like Vosky and skip2pbx integrate their systems with Alcatel systems via SIP gateways.

Responsibilities:• Carry out PABX Installations (Alcatel 4200, compact, OXO, Panasonic)• Installing CAT5 Cabling• Fault findingAchievements:During this time I was being trained to learn Alcatel PABX systems, and applying what I learnt in the field. Being a quick learner was a distinct advantage as I was soon leading installation projects which included configuring PABX systems for a large retail chain with 500+ sites throughout the UK.I was also given the opportunity to go to the Alcatel University in France for 1 month to train in Alcatel’s Largest PABX system (4400).
