I implemented a process that improved racial diversity and class background and improved the outcomes for young people using our services. I enjoy the challenge of engaging hard to reach people with my warmth and approach, with regular feedback talking about how what I did was the best people had seen. I have been working in the 3rd sector for 25 years and believe that the 3rd sector can make a real, sustainable and vital difference in a society that needs us now more than ever. I believe that good leadership comes from secure and wise leaders with a long history of making a difference.I still volunteer as a frontline leader. In my experience senior leaders who maintain a regular link with face-to-face work are better leaders, and I still really enjoy it.
