In my most recent role I delivered growth of 150% in 16 months increasing income, staff and impact in line with this growth, and reducing the proportion of overhead. Diversity and InclusionI have driven a reduction in the gender pay gap in all my recent roles and worked actively to increase the diversity of the senior team as well as the whole staff team. I implemented a process that improved racial diversity and class background and improved the outcomes for young people using our services. I am skilled at developing others - particularly those from different backgrounds to my own. Impact MeasurementI built a low-cost impact measurement tool demonstrating impact to funders and supporters, increasing the connection between the work and those that funded it. I introduced real-time digital reporting and increased buy in from trustees and key stakeholders, reducing cost and increasing insight to the work.Leadership in Complex EnvironmentsIn previous roles I have led teams with diverse consultancy roles, working with multiple independent groups ensuring that the team delivered growing engagement with these independent stake holders, improving feedback and ensuring that the stakeholders continued to engage and fund the work.CommunicationI have spoken at events for thousands of people and led seminars across the UK for many organisations. I enjoy the challenge of engaging hard to reach people with my warmth and approach, with regular feedback talking about how what I did was the best people had seen. I have been working in the 3rd sector for 25 years and believe that the 3rd sector can make a real, sustainable and vital difference in a society that needs us now more than ever. I believe that good leadership comes from secure and wise leaders with a long history of making a difference.I still volunteer as a frontline leader. In my experience senior leaders who maintain a regular link with face-to-face work are better leaders, and I still really enjoy it.
