At Ball, I worked closely with the attorneys in the nine-person law department, primarily in areas of labor and employment and supply contracts.In preparation for discrimination hearing, I drafted memorandum on current state discrimination law precedent, focusing on employer’s obligation to reasonably accommodate a disabled employee.I reviewed the liability provisions in supply contracts of customers affected by a production line malfunction and advised my senior attorney of the company’s exposure under each contract.Preparing for implementation of a company-wide smoking ban, I conducted extensive research and prepared an assessment of National Labor Relations Board decisions of smoking ban related disputes.

As a clerk at Kaplan Kirsch, I assisted the attorneys in complex environmental and land use matters and prepared briefs and memoranda on issues including structure of Environmental Impact Statement under NEPA, violation of FAA Part 16 General Assurances, municipal annexation and disconnection, and zoning variances for wind farm.On several occasions, I coordinated with staff at Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to obtain records in the course due diligence research as part of clients' purchase, sale, and development of brownfield properties.

I performed a range of duties during my time at the Red Cross. I managed the chapter-wide inventory and coordinated the supply of training course materials at six chapter branches in metropolitan Denver and Summit County.I interacted in person, by telephone, and by email with current and prospective clients, educating them about chapter services and products, resulting in training of 60,000 individuals and 23% increase in department revenue in fiscal year 2004-2005.I handled all accounts receivable for corporate clients and third parties who provided Red Cross training courses at locations outside of the chapter. I coordinated with national, regional, and local staff to ensure timely curriculum updates and instructor training for Red Cross first aid and CPR courses.I supervised volunteers who assisted our office with administrative tasks, and I served on the chapter's committee to prepared instruction materials for the Red Cross's training course records database.
