While the ops team itself is fairly small, the company has a vibrant culture with fantastic cross-team collaboration that means we deliver the excellent service our users know to expect.Previously with the New Zealand Mortality Review Datagroup I spent my days developing the web-based applications and underlying SQL databases used by several Mortality Review Committees to collect, collate and ultimately analyse data about mortality in New Zealand.With a broad range of experience behind me, from helping users through a mail-merge in Microsoft Word to designing (and building) a web-based system for the entry and printing of 'student reports' to the installation of a linux-based RADIUS server backed by Active Directory (via LDAP), I am comfortable in a similarly wide range of environments from the one-to-one SMB peer networks to larger more enterprise-oriented infrastructure with multiple servers, routes and layer-2/3 segregation to distributed development teams crossing multiple time-zones.In ny role with Decision 1 dealt predominantly with the SMB market and included a healthy education component.
