As Feeds Lead, I am responsible for all aspects of how users connect to their financial institutions and bring their data into PocketSmith. This includes implementing new features and changes, engineering our feeds subsystem and its integrations, handling escalated support issues and liaising with our suppliers.

I'm responsible for engineering PocketSmith's web application, ensuring that—as a team—we're delivering high quality, efficient, scalable and secure technical solutions. I work closely with the CTO, and form part of our leadership group, providing a technical voice to the company's strategy and direction, as well as everyday operations.

Built new features and maintained existing ones in our backend Ruby codebase, worked on our cloud server infrastructure, and lead the development of our public RESTful API.

I was responsible for engineering the server-side Hail application, including the public RESTful API. I was also responsible for operations, including deployment and scaling of the app. I worked mostly with PHP, using the Laravel framework and Symfony components. Notable work includes implementing an OAuth2 server, queueing, and high performance caching.

My work at Firebrand included building websites for clients using our in-house Fireweb content management system. I also worked on larger, bespoke PHP web applications such as GetHomeSafe and Digital Journey, which included designing and building RESTful web services for mobile and JavaScript applications to interact with.
