• Lead UNIX Administrator on 2011 IT consolidation from Austin office to Dallas: updating jumpstart for latest Solaris release; creating SLES11 SP1 VMware template and customization scripts, and central YUP patching repository; analyzing and documenting all new IP and VLAN assignments, and requesting the supporting DNS and Firewall entries. • Lead Administrator on 2010 DB2 conversion from iSeries to zLinux platform: configuring zLinux golden-master; identifying and documenting procedures for supporting z/VM Linux instances at the console (using CP commands and 3270 terminal emulation); setting-up IUCV terminal-server and enabling IUCV access to all zLinux instances; configuring FCP SAN disk and multipathing. • Leveraged CFEngine to constantly enforce file ownership and permissions across Oracle Financials team's Prod/Non-Prod instances - providing a reliable and consistent environment for their team to support multiple Oracle instances/instance-owners per server, regular application code deploys from IT-Governance software, as well as regular and ad-hoc database refreshes of Non-Prod database instances from Production. • Standardized Linux server build process by introducing Kickstart and AutoYaST to automate the installation and post-installation deployment procedures. • Provided proof of compliance to internal and external auditors, as well as authored code to produce a system-generated Excel (xls) spreadsheet of active/inactive accounts in the UNIX LDAP directory.
