I am dedicated and organized. I am a self-starter and an independent learner. I am successful at working in high paced, agile situations. I am experienced writing curriculum for children as well as adults. I have used the ADDIE model to create appealing and appropriate coursework and I have done so with little or no supervision. I create engaging, creative and diverse training materials. Over the years, I have learned new software, and management systems. I can assess needs, collect and understand data. I excel in scheduling and collaboration. I often go above and beyond role descriptions and responsibilities. I was the math leader at a school, in addition to be a classroom teacher. This position allowed me to work directly with the district to plan, present workshops and lead a team of colleagues on a new mathematical initiative and be the major change agent. I have written and adhered to curriculum and aligned standards. I have guided student teachers through their in-person training. This position involved observation, detailed notetaking and giving constructive (sometimes difficult) feedback.My passion is driven by my love of educating others. I enjoy breaking down complicated concepts into easy-to-understand pieces. I use many different styles of teaching to accomplish this goal. I am well spoken, an excellent presenter and at ease in front of a group. I promote an inclusive learning environment. I am a certified reading specialist and embed my reading lessons with the science of teaching reading. I have managed multiple projects, both personal and professional, meeting both budget and time restraints and just earned my google certificate in project management. I have a Masters’ degree in Multicultural education. I have lived and worked in the inner city I, also, moved overseas, living and working with people of many cultures. I have successfully taught English language learners of various backgrounds. I am highly traveled. I’m curious and sensitive about the needs of others. I am passionate about being an accomplice in diversity, accessibility and equity for all. I believe education can lead to empowerment. My leadership style includes vulnerability, and compassion.
