Operations Manager for the PALLAS-Reactor project, an isotope reactor under construction in Petten, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. The PALLAS reactor will ultimately replace the venerable High Flux Reactor at the NRG site in Petten in support of the continuity and growth of medical and commercial isotope supply, and the associated campus will supplement capability for continued advancements in nuclear R&D. The OM role, reporting to the Director of Operational Readiness, is responsible for the definition, development and implementation of the framework for reactor operations and ultimately the successful transition to a proficient and qualified reactor operations group.This position follows years of nuclear engineering, nuclear operational and technical experience including: Engineering Manager for the PULSE (formerly the U1a Complex) facility at the Nevada National Security Sites (NNSS), Operations Manager for the aforementioned U1a Complex, Deputy Manager of the NNSS Device Assembly Facility’s Nuclear Systems Engineering, DOE Conduct of Operations specialist, DOD Nuclear Shift Test Engineer (NAVSEA08-qualified Shift Test Engineer) on multiple Naval pressurized water reactor platforms, and nuclear electrical/reactor I&C test engineering. From Nuclear Engineering to Operations to building decks, a broad background has developed strong skills in leadership, technical aptitude and interpersonal relations. Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University.
