Currently working with Aker as a process tech on Statoil’s Mariner A project. Part of the operations teams undertaking daily tasks as part of the Hook-up and Commissioning phase of the project in preparation for first oil in 2018. Daily tasks include issuing of permits on eVision as an Area Technician. Dealing with multiple skilled workers and work parties to ensure all work undertaken is within Statoil’s Safe working procedures.Post commissioning I have been involved with ready for start-up line walks, actively questioning vendors and commissioning team on system specifications, ensuring all appropriate documentation is signed off prior to handover and reviewing/re-writing procedures to ensure safe working practise at all times.All of the above while learning new systems including separation, gas compression and re-compression, sea water injection, produced water injection, diluent injection, export to storage vessel and various utility systems.

4.5years onboard Beryl Alpha platform where I completed my apprenticeship and was given a role within Apache Corp.A good understanding and knowledge of process due to Beryl Alpha accommodating a wide variety of process systems. Systems including:Wells - platform well bay systems and subsea manifolds.Separation - 2 & 3 stage separation. Multi train separators. Vertical and Horizontal SeparatorsGas Compression - LP 2stage compression 0-10bar. HP multistage compression to 160bar. Three trains of compression all of different variety and set-up.Gas Lift - Platform and subsea gas lift line-upsHP Seawater Injection - HP 200bar seawater injection system. Deaerator Tower, boaster pumps.Gas Dehydration - Glycol Regenration Unit, Gas ScrubbersTanker Loading - Oil storage tank and tanker loading. Involving Ballast SystemUtilities - Plant and Utility Air. Bunkering operations of Potable water and dieselProgressed out of my apprenticeship where I completed my training as a Control Room Operator. A good understanding of the Fire and Gas Logic systems onboard. Can make process decisions under pressure to ensure safe outcomes are achieved by following procedures at all times.Continued learning of the above systems. Handling multiple lines of communication including marine traffic.Involved heavily in commissioning and re-commisioning projects including compressor overhauls, re-commisioning of a compressor train, commissioning new well Xmas Trees and flowlines, PSV campaigns and gas export metering isolations.A strong understanding of the Permit to Work System (ISSOW). Isolating Authority and Level2 Gas Tester. Involved in Level 2 Risk Assessments as a team member.Working with apprentices and new starts to provide them with the knowledge required to work safely on the Beryl Alpha platform
