As Logistics Manager, was responsible for the management of 2 warehouses. Makes use of SAP-ERP and SAP-EWM Warehouse Management Systems to manage the logistics and operations of both warehouses. Responsible for own warehouse and warehouse was separated from others within the Dis-Chem Distribution Centre.Key Deliverables:Distribution & Operations• Meet objectives of the Distribution Centre and organisation as a whole by implementing relevant strategies. • Evaluate storage and equipment to ensure efficient application.• Monitor the amount of goods at all times and perform relevant audits. • Ensure stock is kept in good condition and act accordingly when discrepancies are identified. • Work with suppliers, buyers and merchants to address inventory issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.• Manage financial indicators and ensure they remain in line with budgets for the operations environment and adhere to corporate governance principles.
