Health, Safety and Environmental ManagerReporting to the Project Manager, the Project Health, Safety and Environmental Manager is responsible for the effective implementation of SUBCONTRACTOR health and safety processes at an operational level.Specific responsibilities of this role include:The promotion and implementation of SUBCONTRACTOR Health and Safety policies, elements onthe HSMP and legislative requirements.Establish and maintain adequate and suitable resources, including human resources, for theeffective management of Project Health and Safety activities.Establishing, in consultation with the Project Manager, contract health and safety objectives,including action plans with identification of responsibility to ensure that objectives are met.Development and implementation of HSMP and Project specific safe work instructions, ensuringthe effective control of operational processes and reducing the risk of incidents related to healthand safety.Assist site management team with provision of health and safety inductions and training asrequired, ensuring the effective implementation of health and safety processes.Provide health and safety technical support and advice to Project Management Team personneland employees.Assist Supervision and Management in the effective investigation of incidents ensuringidentification and realization of improvement opportunities to prevent recurrence.Compilation and analysis of contract safety statistics as a basis for identifying improvementopportunities.Development and implementation of contract health and safety audit and assessmentProgrammes.The facilitation of effective health and safety communication processes including Pre Startmeetings, Toolbox meetings, JHEA, and Take 5.Reporting to the Project Manager on Health Safety Performance.
