As an On-Site Data Network Manager, my key tasks and responsibilitines include; Proactive review of the Data Network including Operational Capacity and delivery processes Assist in escalations, as engaged by Telstra’s delivery groups, for high level Priority Data Network incidents and management to the stated SLA’s Provide inputs into Major Incident Management processes and Post Incident Review outputs Provide Problem Management activities in line with Medibanks processes, such as: (i) Analysis (ii) Trending (iii) Inputs into Reporting outputs and action plans Maintenance of data integrity Provide support to the delivery tower for Management of Medibank Private’s data network Attendance at monthly review meetings to discuss performance Review of Telstra network outage notification's when it may affect Medibank Private’s networks Provide technical inputs to the Medibank Private Capacity Management Plan. Assist the Account Team with the review of all data related reports and recommendations Assist with Projects related to the Data Network Providing technical input to assist Detailed Designers in meeting customer project business objectives. Perform Business As Usual Network Port Acivations and network configuration documentation for change approval. Change Management (i) Work with stakeholders to identify impacts to the Data Network from any Medibank Private initiated changes (ii) Monitor requests for capacity changes (iii) Assist scheduling planned Outages associated with Telstra’s network maintenance activities Complex Order Management (i) Assist in the verification of technical aspects of new work orders and provisioning requests (ii) Assist as required in the Service Management processes

As part of the Telstra on-site network operations team at BP Australian-New Zealand, I performed day to day BAU network functions and contributed towards network design discussions and implementation for current project work’s.Some of my core BAU functions were; • Planning and implementation of network changes.• Representation of network changes to change management board• Network port allocation and VLAN management.• Network configuration review, implementation and Post verification management.• Maintaining Network design documentation.• Troubleshooting of layer 2 & layer 3 networks.

Providing second level technical support to Telstra Service Delivery field staff involving PSTN, DSL technologies (ADSL & BDSL) and WAN carriage services (Frame Relay & ISDN) This position also involved staging, installation, commissioning, and testing of Cisco Unified Communications Equipment - Cisco Call Manager servers, Voice Gate-Way devices, Digital Media Signage and Cisco Telepresence solutions.

Successfully fitted out Telstra call centres and country wide stores throughout country Victoria.Effectively scoped, migrated, commissioned and tested Cisco 4506 devices in Telstra exchanges and associated customer floors, including E000, as part of a network refresh programme.Upgraded the VicRoads computer network from a Token Ring Topology to a fully switched Ethernet network.Taking the lead role as the technical specialist in the upgrade of the primary data centre involved careful planning, change management, implementation planning and post verification testing. Successful upgrade of the Salvation Army computer Network to a Telstra ADSL platform, providing support to the Senior Project manager and co-ordinating delivery of materials and instructions to interstate contactsInstallation of UTP, Optic Fibre cabling, network switches, routers and servers, providing first level maintenance support and fault finding, commissioning of customer networks and IDC network patching within the Telstra Internet Data Centres.Data Storage tape replacement.
