A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with over 35 years experience in accountancy, restructuring and corporate insolvency.I qualified as an accountant in 1999 after working in general audit and accountancy practice for 10 years with Clark Whitehill (now Crowe) and Horsfield & Smith. I joined Begbies Traynor in 1999 and have been involved in many instructions on companies in a wide range of industries. I was recently appointed as Administrator of a North West Football Club which ended with a successful sale and rescue of the Club following a 9 month trading period. Other specialist appointments include the appointment as Administrator of a Credit Union and I have been involved in many assignments in the professional services sector on both advisory and formal insolvency instructions. This work has included the performance of Independent Business Reviews to Banks and Lenders to assist them to fully understand their position, restructuring of a legal firm using the Voluntary Arrangement procedure, pre-pack administration of solicitors firms and the formal wind down of Limited Company legal firms.Other sectors that I have been involved in include waste recycling, property, construction, beauty clinics, retail and leisure. I also have experience of being appointed as Administrator of a casino and selling a casino licence. My other previous roles include acting as a voluntary board member and treasurer of a local Credit Union and also my local golf club.
