Manager, Antibiotic Resistance Project
CurrentCurrently managing the Antibiotic Resistance Project, which seeks to address the growing threat of antibiotic resistance by spurring the innovation of new antibiotics and ensuring the appropriate use of antibiotics in health care settings. PROJECT MANAGMENT: Improves project efficiencies in support of ARP objectives, both with antibiotic stewardship and economic incentives. Manages resources to improve and maintain alignment with strategy and budget objectives. Responsible for overseeing the grant and contracts process, from proposal to execution in order to ensure an efficient, systematic operation. Facilitates and manages the development of the project's annual and quarterly planning via Gantt charts.MANAGEMENT: Oversees a team of staff in a matrix environment. Acts as an advisor to staff and provides guidance on organizational goals and policies. Administers and executes project objectives through staff on a day-to-day basis. Provides guidance to leadership and staff to assist in improving performance. Creates opportunities for staff to receive ongoing professional development to assist in sharpening skills and solidifying career paths. Encourages an open, collaborative and highly equitable environment for strategy development and decision-making. HEALTH EQUITY: Acts as the lead for Health Equity on the Antibiotic Resistance Project. Collaborates with colleagues under the Health Portfolio to assist in determining goals and strategy for Health Equity within the broader Health Portfolio.CONTRACTS/GRANTS: Facilitates onboarding for new grant and contract partners. Partners with team leadership and Contract and Procurement Services to determine goals, terms and conditions of agreements. Processes no-cost extensions, reports that prove to fulfill the goals of the grant agreement, payments to grantees/contract stakeholders, and the closeout process of grant agreements and contracts.
