Heading up BIM and Digital on the YTL Arena, the third largest arena in the UK. It will be the largest in the South West and will put Bristol on the international map as a top destination – an exciting, up and coming place to visit, work and live in.

Through effective information management, I was able to develop new, innovative solutions that improved existing processes and procedures. This not only streamlined project delivery but also enhanced internal business practices at Skanska, all in alignment with our overarching digital strategy and business plan.

Continuing with my passion for all things BIM and Digital, along with the use of software as a 'key process enabler' within the construction industry. Supporting our Schools, Commerical, and Defence projects.

BIM has been a consistent focus of the work that I have been involved with for many years and is founded on my technical experience and understanding of building design. This experience of working in a 3D software/ building information modelling environment has put me in a good position for taking a lead on BIM implementation strategies and given me a great understanding of the coordination this working environment requires. Utilising meaningful BIM methodologies and workflows to enhance communication with project teams and once on-site to quickly enable working with the main contractors to manage issues and to investigate more efficient construction opportunities.

Student Living - I worked on a student accommodation development project for the University of Northampton valued over £50 million. The project was a redevelopment of a brown-field site, creating a 994-bedroom complex with Kier Construction. My involvement started from the planning stages, where I implemented custom BIM processes and strategies and managed the team that delivered the tender and construction information. I was also responsible for the technical delivery of this project during construction, adding to my extensive experience in this sector from working on six previous student accommodation projects in Bristol, Bath, and Exeter.Health - various, including charge of technical design, coordination, and BIM implementation for a new critical treatment hospital in Hampshire. The project involved leading a comprehensive multidisciplinary team with Stride Treglown to construct a 360-bed 37,500 square meter facility on a greenfield site. I have worked on several health-related projects in the past, including a large 55,000 square meter hospital redevelopment project.Defence - I have experience working on several defence-related projects, which included whole site redevelopments.Industrial - I led the design team on refurbishment and new construction projects for VOSA. This includes an award-winning office building in Avonmouth, Bristol, which was rated 'BREEAM Excellent.'Residential - I have managed large residential housing projects of up to 1,500 homes. My responsibilities included leading the establishment of company processes and workflows for creating planning drawings and working drawings, facilitating the output of custom construction information packages.Commercial - I have worked on various commercial projects, including a development for the SS Great Britain Trust on a historic site, comprising retail spaces, offices, and 144 new apartments. The buildings were designed with a historically sympathetic aesthetic.

Lead Consultant for phases 13-14 Portmarine residential development including 150 plots of 2-4 storey housing and 5-6 storey steel framed apartment buildings for Crest Nicholson (SW) Ltd. Managing a team pushing the boundaries of AutoCAD utilising a fully coordinated linked 2D file model environment. As BIM as you can get in 2D.

My experience with Brighouse included space planning, client needs analysis, design feasibility studies. Technical lead for preparation of drawing information packages. Parallel to this role was management of IT infrastructure and CAD systems for Brighouse. Inhouse development of bespoke parametric BIM families using GDL coding (for ArchiCAD). Creation of CGI renders and animated flythroughs.

Design of retail spaces, branding, and client profitability - through design focused on delivering end-user satisfaction. Creation of CGI renders and animated fly-throughs.

A bespoke residential practice, very design focused, where I delivered drawing packages for high-end clients, via the drawing board medium. During this time I enjoyed secondment to another architectural and a structural engineer practices in Rotorua.
