Oversee all strategy for Byron Health Center. Plan and develop our newest community, set to open in Spring 2020. Discover and open new lines of business. Serve as the voice and liaison to represent Byron in the Fort Wayne community.

Lead our team from having the second highest report card score in our county to a report card score under 40, thus maximizing quality reimbursement. Continued staff's focus on mission and vision through implementation of various innovative initiatives such as: EMR, Abaqis, Yellow Belt Lean Six Sigma, Antimicrobial Stewardship program, CMS pilot program OPTIMISTIC, aroma therapy, mind remapping, music therapy, and others. Our leadership team continues to learn and grow on a personal level through studying and implementing principles learned from over twelve books on leadership. We are committed to be good partners in our community by being a resource to the Fort Wayne area. This is accomplished through educational partnerships with St. Francis University, Ivy Tech, Med Tech, and IPFW. We are laser focused on servant leadership, the power of purpose, and proactive planning.Accomplishments: Deficiency-free survey in 2013 and 2015. Overall 5-Star rating 36 out of the last 44 months as of the last update.

Lead the team to a report card score of 181 from 262 in just eight short months. Guided the leadership team in developing a team culture.

Lead an awesome team through a difficult issue. While there, I met not only some very wonderful, loving staff but also very loving residents. As a result, I accepted the position full-time.

Increased NOI by reducing expenses without compromising care. Analyzed then implemented system changes for each department to ensure better efficiency. Held department heads accountable for running their department. Introduced fine dining experience for residents.

Currently working to streamline operations of the Centre by structuring a uniform orientation procedure for volunteers, establishing an accounting system that will allow SWOT analysis of various programs currently being offered at the Centre, management of the ATR program, and securing needed items through corporate donations.

Currently working to obtain various local, state, and federal government certifications to secure contracts thus expanding the market for GIS. In addition, working on website redesign and social media marketing strategy to expand market opportunities.

While working at Hickory Creek, I was able to continue my passion for service to our residents while developing that passion with our staff. Our leadership team worked together to obtain a 5 Star rating and U.S. News and World Report distinction as "One of the best Nursing Homes in Indiana." Initiating and maintaining a culture of excellence is vital for residents, families, and team member satisfaction. Operationally, we were able to improve our report card score by 30% taking our score below 100 thus obtaining maximum allowable reimbursement rates. In addition, actual vs. budgeted expenses were improved by 15% with major improvements in the community being realized while maintaining quality of care.

My experience with Sunrise was amazing. I learned so much about every facet of Assisted Living business. Sunrise had a great culture: core values, team member credos, foundational beliefs, resident rights, mission statement. They all blended so well to guide us in our day to day operation of the community. That culture allowed our community to earn two awards in both team member and customer satisfaction. With top billing for satisfaction, we were able to improve our bottom line year over year for seven years in a row. Sunrise was also progressive with leadership style of management. We were encouraged to learn and teach our team members about customer service and problem solving techniques. I was fortunate to be selected to represent our area in Washington D.C. to lobby for legislation for the elderly.
