An member of the Washington House of Representatives elected by the citizen's of the District 17 from 2002-2010, Wallace focused her efforts on higher education, transportation, economic development and technology. She was widely known for her extensive outreach to the public she represented.Wallace has served previously as Director of Business Expansion for the Columbia River Economic Development Council, as Growth Management and Development Services Manager for the Washington State Department of Transportation, Director of Planning and Development for C-TRAN, Government Affairs Director for the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, and Executive Director for the Columbia Corridor Association an economic development organization in Portland, OR. Wallace has taken master’s level coursework in Organizational Development at Marylhurst University in Oregon. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from Central Washington University in 1981.She has been married to her husband John, a retired Air Force Lt. Col. for 35 years. They have 3 children, three grandchildren and a life full of adventure.
