Work in partnership with the Northglenn city council and urban renewal authority to implement the overall economic development and redevelopment strategic plans for the community. These efforts foster the creation, expansion, and retention of retail and primary jobs fueling the economic health for the City of Northglenn. As well as it increases the vitality of the city through increased sales and property taxes, capital investment, jobs and improves the overall quality of living for the community.

The CNA is a non-profit organization that serves as the economic development catalyst organization to connect, coordinate, promote, market, and educate industry, government, academia, and citizens on the benefits of nanotechnology commercialization. As the Executive Director I was responsible for managing and directing the organization to position Colorado as a global leader in nanotechnology. My largest accomplishments were to develop and build a start-up organization through private and public fundraising, public awareness, marketing and public relations outreach programs. This included overseeing seven committees, special events, media coordination and press releases, website development, newsletters, trade shows, and marketing materials and brochures. I worked closely with stakeholders, governmental leaders, universities, research laboratories, technology transfer departments, businesses, schools, media, members, and citizens to educate them on the importance of the technology for our state and national global competitiveness. I did more than 200 presentations, 40 special events, and successfully had 150+ global, national and local formal media placements to promote CNA and nanotechnology. Also I coordinated and held the first global nanotechnology-energy summit and tradeshow with more than 300 local, national and international attendees. Additionally I was responsible for obtaining a three-year $375,000 operating state grant for the organization, and developed a membership structure which recruited more than 75 paying members for the organization, and $100,000 in fundraising efforts in less than one year.

The Adams County Workforce & Business Center (ACWBC) serves approximately 35,000 citizens annually, with a $5.1 million budget, and a 70-person staff. The six centers I managed delivered a myriad of state and federally funded labor exchange and training programs. The mission of the ACWBC is to create opportunities for success by connecting businesses with a quality workforce. During my employment I managed all Centers including staff, budgeting, strategic planning and adhering to federal and state programs. I was also responsible for creating a new name, vision and mission, tagline, marketing materials, and outreach and coordination programs to connect businesses, educational institutes and citizens looking for employment opportunities.

Jefferson Economic Council (JEC) is a public/private non-profit economic/business development organization. JEC is one of the oldest and largest economic development organizations in Colorado. It serves 12 municipalities, 208,000 businesses and 535,000 residents. During my tenure I was responsible for creating, expanding, and retaining thousands of high-paying primary jobs that fueled the economic health and vitality of the community. This also included workforce and educational programs, all marketing and public relations, and development efforts, and redevelopment and revitalizations efforts.

Adams County Economic Development (ACED) is a non-profit, full-service economic development agency serving 10 municipalities, more than 8,000 businesses, and 400,000 residents. Adams County has been forecasted to be the fastest growing county in Colorado over the next 20 years. During my employment I served in all positions in the organization which provided me with the knowledge of all aspects of economic development for the organization. This included the development of strategic and business plans, the budget, staff management, target marketing, trade shows and outreach efforts, board development, fundraising, and retention, attraction, expansion, incentives, financing mechanisms, redevelopment/revitalization and major infrastructure projects.
