•Member of purchasing staff at a fast-paced, highly innovative design, invention, development, and prototyping company, with responsibility for supporting projects involving but not limited to such diverse elements as software development, robotics, video surveillance, optics, lasers, visual arts, data visualization, architecture, and very high-end audio technologies.•Draws on deep well of real-world purchasing experience to work closely with diverse & eclectic group of team members, ranging from artists to machinists to physicists, to help identify and solve potential procurement challenges. Often recommends best-value products and services to management, engineering and technicians. •Works closely with accounting department and program management on supply-chain related issues.•Supervises negotiation of pricing and delivery structures for all production-related items and capital equipment purchases. Spearheads negotiations on long-term and high-value procurement challenges.
