Responsible for the daily management of all entertainment related merchandise formats on store.hmv.com, this covers all clothing and apparel, mugs, glassware, wall art, Pop vinyl, figurines and graphic novels.Daily tasks involve the following;• Working to KPIs to ensure all products are uploaded to websites in a timely manner ensuring all products are live on the website according to the commercial calendar. • Adding, amending and maintaining data points, product hierarchies and selling tags.• Ensuring products are correctly attributed and enriched.• Constant review and monitoring of product data on the site.• Assisting the commercial buyers with range selection, forecasting the initial buy and determining removals from the range.• Creating product descriptions. • Liaising with commercial buying team and suppliers to ensure product data is consistent.• Work with suppliers to constantly improve and expand the range. • Updating all campaigns and promotions and product ranges to ensure consistency across the Hmv brand, in-store and online.• Constant review and monitoring of product data on the site.• Managing multiple product ranges and cms projects. • Managing the product lifecycle.• Optimising cross category selling opportunities across the site. • Remaining knowledgeable of upcoming and currently visual and audio releases, store and company best sellers and trends.

Main duties included the following;• Creating and updating sales reports, analyzing the data to further maximise sales and minimise loss of new and existing products. • Sourcing and buying new product ranges from suppliers for sale in store.• Maintenance of the current catalogue of products in stores including ordering, creating planograms and monitoring stock levels throughout the store base.• Remaining aware of current trends and competitor activity.• Supplier liaisons and negations regarding cost, margin rates availability, exclusivity, product life cycles including returns deals, product performance and sales.• Devising and implementing year long merchandise plans for stock and unitary taking into account budgets, targets and margin. • Supporting the senior buyers and department manager.• Using an organised methodical approach to conducting financial reporting, store communication and compiling presentations for use within the wider business.
